The “Morning Martyrs” (Ryan Duchene, Ricky Petraglia, and Erik) first played together in the “Blind Woods” (a.k.a.“The Andrea Belanger Band”).  Among that band’s many performances were 2011 and 2012 appearances at the Bonneroo Music and Arts Festival. Blending their diverse musical backgrounds - ranging from folk to hip-hop, country, and jazz to electronica -- each member spins their own unique section of the collective cosmic web of Americana.
Sideman and Session Work Erik regularly appears on bass guitar, double bass, and guitar as part of bands and as an accompanist.  Recent gigs include accompanying Keren Keren  and Kat Cunning at  Sofar Sounds events, and playing with Ev,  Messylegs, Town Street Criers, Moves Collective, and Undercover Dream Lovers to name a few.  In addition to playing on recordings by this former bands Endangered Speeches, The Blind Woods, Sun Cut Flat -- he has played on the recordings of Aria, Sonnymoon, and Offiong Bassey among others.

Erik Kramer & Friends   Erik performs some of his original songs under the moniker of Erik Kramer & Friends, which is composed of a rotating group of excellent musicians. Some recent collaborators are Sean Lally (guitar & drums), Mike Ritz (guitar),  Ryan Duchene(guitar), Asher Kurtz (guitar), Angelo Spampinato (drums), Christian Li (keyboards), Tal Shtuhl (saxophone), and Melina Harris (vocals).
Erik Kramer Jazz Combo  Erik performs jazz gigs with the excellent musicians he met at The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz, The Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts, and at The Berklee College of Music.
